A person with dementia can lose track of time as well as becoming disorientated within their living space. The Communal Orientation Board is a great way to display the essential, general information that people need about the time, day and date, time of the year, what the weather is like and whether there are noteworthy birthdays or events on that particular day. Care homes may also have a resident who looks after the orientation board so that updating it becomes a daily activity for them too.
As well as a clock with electronic movement and clear polycarbonate protection cover, the board features a full set of card inserts for the day, date and weather. It also has a dry-wipe, non-reflective surface and hidden fixings for simple, secure installation. A dry-wipe pen is included.
Every orientation board is manufactured to order, so if you would like the design changed in some way to make it more appropriate for your care setting, please get in touch. Most things are possible and many options will attract no extra cost.
