HOW DO YOU KEEP THE LOUNGE COMFORTABLE

FOR SOMEONE WITH DEMENTIA?

As the condition progresses, people with dementia or Alzheimer’s may become less mobile and spend more time sitting in a favourite chair. At this stage they may appreciate a lap tray or adjustable overchair table, either to eat from or as somewhere to put their glasses or cup of tea. A comfortable and supportive seating position is also important and other useful products in the range include back supports and pressure cushions for those at risk of developing pressure ulcers. A handy reacher will enable them to pick up anything they've dropped without having to get up or bend down.

COMFORT AND SAFETY ARE ALWAYS IMPORTANT

All forms of dementia are usually accompanied in the later stages by restricted mobility, so it is important to ensure that the lounge is properly equipped to ensure a good standard of comfort and safety. Check out this article for more ideas.
